Even as the top and bottom wood pieces eventually wear or are attack by pests, the sidebars can be RE-USED again and again, giving you a modern frame system that is stronger, longer-lived, and more economical than disposable all-wood alternatives.

The plastic sidebars and wooden top and bottom bars simply slide into place and can be secured with one or two small nails, if you choose — no more glue, no more finicky stapling into a tiny target area. This eliminates the crooked staples and split wood that often ruin a traditional frame before it even reaches the hive.
